MSc e-Commerce Computing

The Ecommerce stream aims at offering participants a good understanding of the revolution and the convergence of new technologies on global business, and, as current or future managers, a good grasp of the impact and the exciting opportunities for electronic commerce.

E-commerce describes the manner in which transactions take place over networks. It is the process of electronically buying and selling goods, services and information. The impact of EC is not just the creation of web-based companies but a revolutionary change in the whole way we do business.

The overall aim of the course is to provide you with the skills and knowledge to allow you to conduct and manage e-commerce in all kinds of organisations and to appreciate the major opportunities, limitations, issues and risks associated with it.

Information Systems Fundamentals

Introduction to E-Commerce and web economy

Foundations of Business Organisation and business process

Introduction to the Internet and Multimedia

2^nd Semester

Computer Programming (Java) and web development

Business Analysis and Information Technology – business transformation and process reengineering

Internet Technology and the World wide web

E-commerce – Systems Development Tools and Techniques

3rd Semester

Enterprise and IT Project Development

Legal aspect of E-commerce and E-Marketing

Database Systems Concepts and Development

Applied E-commerce – Analysis and Engineering for E-commerce Systems

Duration: 12-18 Months

Eligibility:

You should possess a degree or an equivalent professional qualification. All applicants who meet the requirements are invited along to mutual selection events, where they will be asked to demonstrate that they have the required intellectual ability, and the ability to learn independently and contribute to others
